Try HD Barcode
HD Barcodes can store text and links like QR Codes, but they add something important: you control who is allowed to read the code.
For this demo, you will authorize one phone with your own secret phrase. After that, you can create HD Barcodes that only that authorized phone can read.
Step 1: Set up your reader phone
Open this page on a PC or iPad if possible. The barcode will be shown on this screen, and your phone will scan it.
- On your phone, open https://test.hdbarcodesdk.com.
- If needed, allow camera access.
- Push the [?] button.
- You will see a Reader ID such as
1111-2222-3333. - Enter that Reader ID below.
After authorization, pushing [?] in the reader should show tryhdbarcode.com.
Step 2: Authorize this phone
You choose the secret phrase. That is the point of the demo: the security is under your control, not ours.

Scan this with the phone whose Reader ID you entered above. That phone will learn your secret phrase.
Step 3: Create a protected HD Barcode
After your phone has learned the phrase, create a protected HD Barcode below. It should read on the authorized phone and fail on other phones.
